Good ideas deserve to be shared

Improving access to care, supporting the workforce and making the best use of limited resources are all pressing priorities for the NHS. The 10 Year Health Plan sets out further ambitions for how care should be provided.

Across the country, teams like yours are finding new ways to respond to these challenges. NHS Health and Care Expo gives that work a national platform, allowing people to share the work they're doing and learn how others are approaching similar challenges.

It's also a chance to step away from day-to-day pressures and hear from the people improving services and outcomes for patients. Their experiences and insights can help others make changes in their own organisations.

Give your team's work the recognition it deserves

Have you led a project, improved a service or found a new way to tackle a challenge facing your team?

Through our open submissions process, eligible organisations can propose sessions for the NHS Health and Care Expo 2027 programme.

We want to hear about the work you're doing and the issues you think the sector needs to discuss.

If your session is selected, you'll have the chance to present your work to a national audience and help others learn from your experience.

Submissions for the 2027 programme close on 15 Jan 2027, 5pm. We'd love to hear what your team has been working on.

Perspectives from across health and care

speakers on main stage

Service and operational managers | Clinical leaders | Improvement and transformation teams | Senior NHS decision makers | Wider health and care partners

Improving health and care services for patients takes people with different roles and perspectives. At NHS Health and Care Expo, those setting national priorities can hear directly from the people putting changes into practice.

The event also welcomes people from local government, social care, voluntary and community organisations, academia and industry.

Whatever your role, you'll meet people who understand the challenges you're dealing with and may have found different ways to approach them.

What to expect at NHS Health and Care Expo

NHS Health and Care Expo combines national perspectives with practical experience from across health and care.

Here's what you can expect:

Hear from people leading change

Hear from national leaders and people improving services for patients across the NHS. Sessions explore issues including workforce pressures, neighbourhood care, digital innovation and making the best use of NHS resources.

Share your work and expertise

Take part in workshops, roundtables and discussions where your experience can add to the conversation. If you submit a session proposal and it’s selected for the programme, you'll also have the chance to present your work to a national audience.

Make connections

Meet colleagues from across health and care, including people working in similar roles in other organisations. Compare experiences and make time for conversations that don't always happen during the working day.

Explore new approaches

Visit the exhibition to discover new technology, services and practical approaches that could help address challenges in your organisation.

"It’s not time out, it’s time in"

If you think that two days away from your job seems like a big commitment, take a look at what previous delegates have said about whether it was worth it:

"Brings together the full NHS family in one place for two days. In a busy world, it gives time and space to meet, learn and give life to improvement and innovation."

- Chief Executive, NHS ConfedExpo

"My first Confed and definitely worth it. Networked and learnt. Came away with 2 clear things to test with my organisation. Well worth it!"

- Director, NHS ConfedExpo

A new name. The same commitment

You may know us as NHS ConfedExpo. We took our name from the NHS Confederation, which has now merged with NHS Providers to form the NHS Alliance.

From 2027, the event will be called NHS Health and Care Expo.

The new name puts the focus on both health and care, recognising the importance of working together to address challenges and improve outcomes for patients and the public.

Who organises NHS Health and Care Expo?

NHS Health and Care Expo organised by the NHS Alliance in partnership with NHS England.

The NHS Alliance

The NHS Alliance is an independent membership body representing and supporting organisations across health and care in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

It brings together NHS leaders and organisations to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration and support improvement across the sector.

NHS England

NHS England leads and supports the NHS in England, working with health and care organisations to improve services and outcomes for patients.

It helps set national priorities, supports the delivery of NHS services and works to ensure people receive high-quality, accessible care.

Could others learn from your experience?

If you've tried something new, improved a service or learned something that could help others, we'd love to hear from you.
